Workday Directory Photo Policy

The adoption of Workday by New York Tech allows all employees to upload photos as part of the internal employee directory. This policy intends to ensure that these profile pictures are appropriate for our workplace and minimize misunderstandings within our community.

The following guidance should be considered when uploading a profile picture:

• Pictures should be a recent professional or personal face shot of the employee only.
• Pictures should not be full body; there should be no photos of other people/family.
• No pictures should show derogatory, discriminatory, or profane words, symbols, or phrases.
• Pictures should not be of animals, memes, avatars, cartoons, political statements, or other digital imagery.
• Pictures should not include lewd or crude mannerisms or suggestive poses.

Inappropriate pictures that violate this or any other New York Tech policies will be removed and may result in disciplinary action. Suspected violations of this policy should be reported to the Office of Human Resources.
